Well, honestly it wasn't the best. This was an overnight by insurance for my son who had medical needs in St. Louis. I'll definitely let them know. I didn't feel safe, our main locking mechanism wasn't working well. Made sure the top locked work and finally got the twist lock to go into place. The next morning it was stuck and wasn't even sure I'd get out without calling. When we arrived a little after 7nthere was noone at the front desk and stood in the entry way to call for someone. They never answered, the next thing I knew someone yelled at me from inside and told us to pull the door (previously that was locked) I did and got in. He seemed nice enough but didn't know the parking lot of how to get to our room adequately. It was 10°, if we'd parked where told it would have been quite the walk and still was. One part of the parking lot looked to have a lot of suspicious activity. Our room back in the back of the complex in the dark corner. The frame and mattress had issues where they put plywood to keep it up (I always check for bed bugs thankfully found no signs). There are warnings about leaving belongings in rooms, cars, making sure all windows and doors lock (already mentioned our lock). So seems like they have a lot of unwanted activity. I will not recommend this location to anyone. This is currently a mainstay hotel where even the "new sign" (previously a Marriot) was less than a bedsheet sign and already falling down.....not good for a "new location". The rooms were clean enough with the exception of mold at the base of the tub and then in the air vent clearly noticable. Also every outlet has an issue. None of them would hold a plug firmly. If you bumped.the bed or the end table it caused the lights to flicker. They told us upon arrival they had a stopped all breakfast including morning coffee so we would "have to find that elsewhere". 🤦

Booked hotel using Booking on the quick because we were attending a funeral. Was just looking for a room to sleep in. The hotel is not even close to the standards for a Marriott. The entire property is sadly needing a restoration. The exterior needs to be power washed and painted. The concrete is showing signs of aging with cracking and spalling. The external hardware is dated and when purchased and didn't match. The interior needs restoration too. The furniture is at its end of life. The carpets too. The HVAC was working well but the unit was not evenly cooled. I.e the upstairs was warm and downstairs cold. The room smelled strongly of mold. Let me repeat , it strongly smelled of mold. I would of rejected the room but I had been traveling for many hours and had a attended a funeral. I was beat. The plumbing in our unit was distressing. The downstairs master shower did not have water to run , it was coming out by teaspoons same with the laboratory. The upstairs toilet was misbehaving. The unit was clean and the bed comfortable. On checkout we ran into another Lodger who was angry with her unit and was going to contact Marriott directly, as am I. On Monday I wrote to Marriott to complain. They sent me a prompt note and said they would contact the manager and he was supposed to give a response. It's been several weeks and I am still waiting for a response.

Every picture you see on Google that was posted a month ago for are old and phoney pictures not from this hotel any time less that 2 years ago for sure but the looks of everything these they look like they could very well be from closer to the time when it was an almost new hotel. They started renovation in 2019 and only was able to completely renovate a handful of rooms. The rest of the rooms are still stained carpets and smelly curtains. The housekeepers Manager only acts like she cares if they don't thoroughly clean the room there's always trash behind a dresser or in the pullout couch. And watch out for the bed bugs , I've seen some pretty big ones there lately!!🤮

Greetings, fellow traveler! I recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott St. Louis Galleria and had a decent experience. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, with a full kitchen and living area. However, the grounds were a bit dated and could use some renovation. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly and accommodating, making sure that my stay was comfortable. Overall, a good option for a longer stay in the St. Louis area.

An older property that has, for the most part, been updated adequately. Rooms are set up apartment-style, with several separate buildings on the site. You can get a room with a loft (we did not) - the lofts have received mixed reviews but look like fun to me. The facility is dog-friendly but not pocketbook friendly - a $100 nonrefundable fee is applied to the bill, and to me seems exorbitant. Rather small issue: we checked in on a hot afternoon and were thirsty. Sadly there’s no ice machine on site, and the ice maker in our freezer never worked. Marriott, please attend to this. I was told by a local, prior to checking in, that this neighborhood was not the best, and that I should remove any valuables from the car. Upon arrival, the surroundings weren’t really scary at all. Nevertheless, we took everything inside and had an uneventful night.
